Abstract

Somalia is a war-ravaged and conflict-prone country. Peacebuilding is among the key pillars of state-building. The telecommunications sector is among the key sectors and plays a pivotal role in the country's socio-economic development. Moreover, the Somali population's culture of digital adoption has been growing significantly over the last decades. The Policy Briefing identifies gaps in the country's peacebuilding journey and highlights the absence of the ICT sector's role in peacebuilding.
