Abstract

This descriptive April 2026 report maps 26,582 non-duplicate gyms and activity centres across 34 categories and nine Indian cities in three metropolitan regions. It compares category mix, independent and chain operators, ratings, supply density and locality clusters using digital footprints from Google business listings, websites and social media profiles. The report identifies 96.4% of centres as independently run and 3.6% as branded or chain-operated. The geographic coverage comprises Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Faridabad. These findings describe the covered listings at the stated collection period; they are not a national census, causal analysis or peer-reviewed publication.
